Albert Arnold Gore Jr.

Albert Arnold Gore Jr., known as Al Gore, is an American politician and environmentalist who served as the 45th Vice President of the United States from 1993 to 2001 under President Bill Clinton. Chosen as Clinton's running mate in their successful 1992 campaign, he was re-elected in 1996. At the end of Clinton's second term, Gore was the Democratic Party's nominee for President in 2000.

Gore is the founder and current chair of the Alliance for Climate Protection, the co-founder and chair of Generation Investment Management and the now defunct Current TV network, a member of the Board of Directors of Apple Inc. and a senior adviser to Google.Gore has even received a number of awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize.

Nowadays, he is mostly known because of his effort to change the way people think about global warming, damage to the ozone layer, melting glaciers, etc. To achieve this he made a documentary with Davis Guggenheim called “An Inconvenient Truth” in 2006. This documentary won an Oscar in 2007 for Best Documentary and for Best Original Song. in this year, he was also named a runner-up for Time‍‍ '​‍s 2007 Person of the Year.

Al Gore is a Great Utopian as he has altruistically dedicated himself to raising awareness about environmental issues in order to protect the best interests of our society and future generations, whilst challenging the peoples of our world to really think about the state of our environment and our current environmental stance.
